Heidi L. Snyder

Heidi L. Snyder is a Partner with the Firm and has been practicing in the field of immigration and nationality law since 1997. Ms. Snyder's practice is concentrated in business immigration, with particular experience securing nonimmigrant and immigrant visas for professional workers, foreign healthcare workers, researchers, and professors. In addition to consulting with clients regarding immigrant and nonimmigrant visa sponsorship issues, she advises employers on issues pertaining to I-9 compliance and unauthorized employment, employer sanctions, and worksite compliance, and she represents employers in H-1B audits by the Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division and in I-9 self-audits.

Ms. Snyder is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She has contributed to a chapter on Immigrant and Nonimmigrant Visa Options for Foreign Nurses for a Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) publication. She has also given presentations on the following topics: I-9 compliance; nonimmigrant visa consular processing; post-9/11 changes affecting visa processing and visa issuance; and hiring foreign-national employees. Ms. Snyder has been named by Boston Magazine as a New England Super Lawyers Rising Star in the field of immigration law. She is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and New York.
