Marianne Staniunas

Marianne Staniunas is an Associate with the Firm. She has been practicing law since 2004, and exclusively in the field of immigration law since the beginning of 2009. Ms. Staniunas' practice ranges from business immigration to asylum and deportation cases and related family immigration matters. She has experience in securing nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, including H-1B and O-1 petitions and permanent residence applications via PERM and EB-1 petitions. Ms. Staniunas has successfully represented numerous asylum-seekers in interviews with U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services and in hearings before the Immigration Court, and has represented immigrants in deportation proceedings in Immigration Court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals. In 2008, Ms. Staniunas was presented with the PAIR Project's Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award for her work with asylum-seekers. She also has served as a mentor for other attorneys providing pro bono representation to PAIR clients in asylum and deportation proceedings. Ms. Staniunas is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and is co-chair of the Asylum Committee of the Boston Bar Association's Immigration Section. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Staniunas worked for five years as an Associate at a large, multi-practice firm in Boston. She is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.
